The Red Bull Air Race will be making its only UK appearance of the year at Farnborough International Airshow. The trade show will be open to the public on 21st and 22nd July and is being awaited by those looking forward to the race. Known to take speed, precision, and skill to a whole new level, the Red Bull Air Race was last held in the UK in 2016.
Get ready to witness the very best of the new dimension of motorsport, as a team of two pilots flies Edge 540 race planes. Italian pilot Dario Costa and the UK’s own Ben Murphy will reach speeds of 370kmh while enduring forces of up to 12G. Intriguing, enough? Here’s the real deal. They’ll navigate a low-level racetrack, marked by 25-meter-high, air-filled pylons. This explains why the audience is all excited to get up close to this legendary motorsport. It’ll be the first time since 2016 that the pilots would showcase the very best of the techniques they use in a race.
A thrilling flying display, packed full of tension, excitement, and variety. That’s how Andrew Pearcey, Group Marketing Director for Farnborough International, describes it. The Red Bull Airshow will give you a taste of the excitement of air racing. We can’t wait to see the pylons putting the pilots’ skill and accuracy to test, as they come out with flying colors. How about you?
FIA sees the who’s who of the aerospace and defense industries, but it’s no less popular among the general public. That’s because of the public airshow that everyone can look forward to. The Farnborough International Airshow 2018 won’t be an exception.
The tickets to the airshow are available online. The best part is that children under 15 can attend it for free. So you could plan a family trip of sorts around the trade show, so to say.
